replacement fuel filler pipe ? 200 1987

The fuel filler pipe on my '87 245 has a hole (corrosion) in it. The tube is thin wall aluminum. I tried patching it with a gas tank repair epoxy, but the hole is right where the fuel tank clamp fits. I was not able to get a good enough fit between the pipe, the tank, the clamp, and the seal ring to eliminate the leak.

The part 1254446 is discontinued from Volvo. Has anyone tried an aftermarket pipe or one of the reconditioned ones I see online ? If so, how did they work out ?

Is the only difference between pn 1254446 and pn 1254445 that the earlier one does not have the restrictor for an unleaded fuel nozzle ?

Thanks

Greg
