Clockspring replacement and removal? Starting with the airbag... 700 1990

Please disconnect the battery and wait at least 30 minutes before accessing the airbag. Make sure the disconnected battery terminal cannot flop around and reconnect to the battery. Even if the possibility of airbag deployment is 0.1%, it is better to be safe. An airbag deploying too close to your head could kill you.
