paint code #400 beige metallic 200 1991

Hi All,
My beige metallic 245 has lived in New England (CT, MA, VT) since new and is about to clock 300,000 miles. This winter I have slowly worked through some rust issues along rocker panels and wheel arches and mostly the tailgate and above the rear bumper.

It is now ready to be painted in two stage paint by a well regarded local shop (he mostly does hot rods). This is pretty expensive but I hope worth it.

My question is does anybody have experience with buying paint with this code?

I have been directed to a local NAPA and the paint chip for this Volvo code looks a little off. The original paint is a fairly dull gold.

My car has never been resprayed and seems to have only been involved in one minor hit to the front. So apart from some fading it is all original. Should I expect a big discrepancy between the color in the can and dried on the car?

Any input on paint suppliers/color is appreciated.

Thanks,

Rod
