Tips on Smoging 240 in So California 200

seeking advice here. I have an 81 245 with B21 manual fuel injected. I just got my smog notice and I have to have it tested at a "Star" station. The catalytic converter is really old and I have a rusy exhaust pipe with holes. i have heard that the smog stations are requiring cats with a specific model #/serial # specific to the make/model/year of car. I just had a 96 honda civic smogged and they made a big deal about locating the on board computer wire connection for the code checker. Do '81 245s have the on board compter (OBDC) and where would the port be located/what does it look like? should I get a new cat put on first or try to get it passed and if it fails then get a new one? any other tips for passing the smog test would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
