Trim tape beneath windows paintable? 200

greetings all-
Due to an ill advised trip through the drive thru car wash to wash off last bit of winter road salt, the power washer of a machine chipped off small flecks of paint from the trim tape just underneath a couple of my side windows. (The tape wasn't cracking or looking bad at all beforehand giving me added heartburn but that's another story)

Only one door trim looks that noticable with small little bits having flaked off all along the outermost edge. So I'm wondering, since it's not that bad if I could just paint the tape rather than replace or remove it entirely. Don't imagine it'd be easy to match the rest of the existing tape. What do you guys think would be good course of action?
