Replacement Front Strut Housing/Mount 200 1989

I'm looking to change out my struts and usual front end suspension parts. Ball joints, tie rods & ends, sway bar links, bushings, etc. The front wheel bearings blew out so I already had those replaced. The driver side strut is locked in the fully extended position. So, taking into account none of the front suspension has ever been done, and the car has seen 25 Chicago winters, I am dreading trying to remove the old gland nut and trying to get the old strut out of the old housing.

What I would like to do is get a set of strut housings/assemblies/towers, clean and paint them, and fit the new struts and everything else into them so I can just swap out the old set for the new. I've been looking online for a used (or new) set and can't seem to find any, anywhere.
Am I not looking for the right part name, is it called something else?
Does anyone know where I can get a set, or is it even worth the time to find another set first?
