Mike: In your experience, and short of installing an AMM in the car and hoping that it works, is there a protocol for testing a newly-acquired, used AMM by way of checking continuity of the pins with a VOM? If so, do you know what scale to use (volts, ohms, milliamps, cosmic rays) and what the values are? Or,if there's a reference that you've used that I can look at myself, that would be OK as well. Might as well test it if I can, before I clean it up and put it on the "just in case" shelf.
