rear wheel bearings 200 1993

You are talking about the outer race. When I pulled the halfshafts out of the rear axle on my 245, the outer race was separated from the bearing rollers. Not necessarily an absolute indication of failure, but it is a sign that they are pretty old.

The rear bearings on mine were making a bit of noise, and there was some play, so I replaced them. Cut the old ones off with a cutoff wheel, and paid a shop to press the new ones on ($60/each - should have just bought a harbor freight press and done it myself!).
