What times intermittent wipers? 700

Lately I've found that my intermittent wiper setting has become, um, intermittent. When I first turn then on in the position the interval seems normal, but then it starts to stretch out so I have to manually cycle the wipers in order to see. It's not always like that, so I think whatever times the wipers is going bad. What and where is it?
