Speedometer drive 200 1984

Alright congregation I need some help. I have a 84 DL wagon with the AW70 trans. My speedometer stopped working and I traced it down to the worm gear on the tailshaft; I can spin it with one finger when I reach through the speedo drive hole. To me that says that the worm drive has reamed out whatever it was holding it onto the shaft. The Bentley manual is useless in this regard so what holds it to the shaft, what is the procedure for removing and replacing it, and should I go to the dealer for a new part or go to the pick-n-pull.

I couldn't find any mention of this problem in earlier posts so I'm coming to you now. Any help is much appreciated.
