Optimal Hub quality 700

How much noise is it making? How tight did you set that nut? My first thought is that the axle nut was overtightened. Did you use new nuts? The nuts are torque-to-yield, as in "throw away if you remove them". Had you removed the hubs before?

If the hubs don't have integral outer races, and have tapered wheel bearings, I would definitely suspect over-torqued axle nuts.

What year is the car? The 89 in your sig? Is it with the one-piece hub-rotors or the separate hubs and rotors? Since it has ABS, I'm guessing it's a separate hub with non-replaceable ball bearings.

It's not likely, but you could swap the wheels side to side and see if it follows one tire/wheel.
