1800ES in-line fuel pump 1800 1973

Alas, the fuel pump has kicked the bucket. Part numbers: Volvo 460900; Bosch 0580464007. Neither is available as they have been discontinued. 12-volt, but don't know the flow rate or output pressure. Can a later model Volvo or Bosch fuel pump be substituted, or something from a comparable car like BMW or Mercedes or the like? I'd appreciate any info forwarded, really wanting to get this beauty moving down the road soon under its own power.
