1800ES in-line fuel pump 1800 1973

Bosch made compatible fuel pumps for D-jet equipped Mercedes, VW and Saab that you can use.

In most cases, you have to made some sort of adaptation, usually the electrical connection to make them work.

Within the last couple of years, there was a kit being sold with an aftermarket fuel pump and parts to help you adapt it to replace the original Bosch D-jet fuel pump. It would not work well on a 140, but it was a pretty easy install for a 1800E/ES.

I never sold one of these, but I did a few installations for my customers and most the fuel pumps had to be replaced with one of my original Bosch fuel pumps within a year.

I haven't seen them lately on ebay, which is where my customers bought them, and when I checked my wholesale suppliers for the kits, they all had discontinued carrying them. I am assuming they were discontinued due to a high return rate.

I still have some of the original Bosch fuel pumps left, but they ain't cheap.
