Valve guide replacement 120-130

Hi all:

I have an opportunity at a great price to buy a set of 8 original cast-iron valve guides for a B18 head (part 415266).

My question is...worth it to get them? I remember reading a post or two somewhere that using brass guides or sleeves are the best way to go for valve guide repair or replacement.

My 122 smokes at start ups when warm or at low idle (compression is great across all cylinders)...the valve guides were knurled but I don't think it really stopped oil from seeping through the guides.

Any advice appreciated. Many thanks!

-DS
