1989 240 DL value 200 1989

You could post your awesome 1989 Volvo 240 to the:

* Brickboard Classifieds (https://www.brickboard.com/CLASSADS/)
* iPd free classifieds (requires account - http://www.ipdusa.com/classifieds.asp)
* Turbobrocks classifieds (requires account - forums.turbobricks.com)
* A few select craigslist sites in areas more likely to have RWD Volvo enthusiast.
* Other Volvo enthusiast sites like Swedish Bricks and Matthew's Volvo Site

You can use these forums to search for relative value to other 240/740 Volvos of similar vintage and disposition.

You can use (stopped getting smarter sometime ago) Bing or (less accurate search) Google to search craigslist sites using search field expressions like:

Volvo 240 site:craigslist.org
1989 Volvo 240 site:craigslist.org
"Volvo 240" site:craigslist.org
"1989 Volvo 240" site:craigslist.org

Quotes may yield a more accurate search. the "site:" forces the search engine to search the indicated or web pages with the domain as an expression in the web page code.

You'll only be able to sell that 1989 Volvo 240 broaching 400k to:
* Another Volvo or import auto enthusiast that would care for it.
* Some adolescent kid that may text, drink booze, chat with passengers while passing some Bob Marley or Peter Tosh around, all at once, only to wrap your former auto around a tree or light pole. You hope they do have their safety belts on, of course. Not your responsibility, yet please keep in mind.

Consider what critical and not so critical work remains to make it a safe and reliable ride. Have you checked engine compression? What work would you perform should you choose to keep it? You may want to consider listing caveats like wear item replacement upfront such as tires, coolant system, belts, suspension bushings (how are the strut mounts? Volvo PN 1272455 ONLY), ball joints, and so forth.

What repairs have you performed? List these.

50 miles a year? Leaving a 240 or most cars to set can cause some deterioration of matters like the fuel delivery system. At least park the 240 on a well drained gravel field or better. Parking an automobile on dirt or grass can cause corrosion to set in. Faster in a wetter environment. It helps to drive it so the engine heats up and you drive moisture from the engine sump oil like ten-forty sustained highway miles.

Just some suggestions.

Hope that helps.
