1980 242 Vacuum Hose Question 200

Car is a 1980, 242 with B-21F. Off of the intake manifold is a somewhat larger sized (3/8") vacuum hose that goes over the valve cover and i through the firewall on the passenger side. It is connected to what appears to be a check valve just before it enters the firewall. This may be a dumb or overly simplistic question of the obvious. Is this hose removable from the check valve ? It looks like it is, but I wanted to make sure before I go cutting it off to make sure it is not somehow permanently attached. The hose on my car after 30+ years has become hard, brittle and developing some cracks. Also, cannot find the appropriate part huber for the check valve.

Thanks for any help and wisdom.

Mike
