wire harness 700

Hi Kayakcreek. Fear not, this is quite fixable. First things first - repair that connector. (That disconnected black wire grounds your fuel ECU!) There is very good information to be found in the FAQS :

https://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/ElectricalCircuitsRelays.htm#RemovingEngineWiringConnectors

If you look carefully at each grey connector half, you will see that they come apart so that wires can be freed. Follow the directions in the FAQS for replacing the degraded rubber terminal end covers, hook everything back together (making sure to match wire colors on both halves!) and your spark will most probably magically reappear.

Some have chosen to omit the connector and splice each wire together via their preferred splicing method. Should you decide to go this route it would behoove you to have a firm grasp of joining wires - be it crimping, soldering, both, etc. Make sure to insulate each wire very well with one or two pieces of heat shrink tubing and then cover the whole mess with either a good quality electrical tape (ie 3M super 88) and some harness sheathing.
