wipers not cooperating 200

Due to a strange set of circumstances I am in TX, my beloved wagon is in MD and somehow, I am charged with fixing it from 1800 miles away...

I pulled out the trusted Bentley manual along with some schematics printed from k-jet.org and I am beyond confused.
(of course not having a 240 to test and play with is probably making matters worse.)
If we turn to page 390-15 and look at F1, F2, G1 and G2; we see the switch (pn 77) and the intermittent relay (pn 148).

Just looking at the relay I have deduced:
Pin Color Function
15 Yellow Power - Hot when running
31B Wht-Blk ?provides ground when wiper should be intermittent?
5 Wht ??? Connected to switch
86 Blu-Yel ?Rear wipers?
j Red ??? Connected to switch
31 Blk Ground

Looking at the switch:
Pin Color Function
15 Yellow Power - Hot when running
53B Green ?provides ground when wiper should be on?
31B Wht Connected to Relay
P Blu-Yel ?Rear wipers?
j Red Connected to Relay
53 Brown ?provides ground when wiper should be on?

Can someone help solidify all those question marks please? I am just trying to understand the system so I can hopefully get more info myself and intelligently trouble shoot the system.

Thanks!!

Andrew
