How much time it takes to replace a 1800 alternator/regulator question

Can someone in the know find a way to help me in with some information? I'm pretty frustrated because a mechanic is charging me $350 to change the alternator and regulator for my ES. The $180 seem to be an insane amount of money to change the parts. How long does it take to do this work. Does it really take more than an hour to do the job? I don't think that I'm even getting Bosch parts. Should I get a new mechanic?
