S90, pairing Torque with OBD2 adapter S90-V90 1998

The documentation for Torque is minimal, and no support, so I'm hoping you guys can help

Running Torque on a Nook (Android) tablet, with a generic OBD2 adapter.
The Nook says adapter is paired with the tablet, but Torque keeps asking for a pairing code. I've tried 0000, 1234, but Torque still can't connect to the OBD adapter.

Any ideas?
