940 hard to start after using AC 900 1993

Just got 93 940. When using the AC and then stopping for a time, when I attempt to restart the car the engine will not continue to run. It seems like it wants to but… will not. With several attempt at restarting it finally will with difficulty keep running. Once (when able to be) engaged in gear there is no problem with the engine.
