Heater fan doesn't spin on the 142? 140-160 1971

I am working through the 142's issues, and I need to address the heater fan as I live in the climate that is a frozen wasteland most of the year(Upstate NY), and I will need heat very soon. When I pull the dash switch I get nothing. I assume the fan may be stuck from sitting, but I can not find a line of sight into the fan to give it a shove, and hopefully get it humming again. I also read that these fans are not fun to replace, so hopefully I can get it working without having to replace. Where can I access the fan cage?
