rear end rattling 200 1986

My last fix with the 240 since the AC is done, is finding the mystery rumble/rattle form the rear section. My thought is the counter weights in the seat belt assemblies? Anyway, I was cleaning the trunk the other day and discovered the right rear well pocket with the jack, weird I never looked in that section since owning this vehicle for last three years. I slowly discovered the previous owner had made attempts to isolate the noise by installing large amounts of crate foam throughout the trunk at the hinges, well pockets etc. I mentioned the right rear well for a reason, the trunk always seemed to have a damp smell and I discovered the crate foam was holding about two-three gallons of water in the right well lol! I poked a small hole in the rubber grommet at the bottom and the flood began. No sign of where the noise is coming from. inside trunk....??
