AC intermittent 200

My 1993 240 is suffering with AC problems again. The Ac will work fantastic, nice and cold and then nothing. I would not think it is an issue with freon because when it is working it is ICE Cold. Is there another common problem that occurs on the 240 AC that would result in this type of behavior.

Another comment, does not seem to be any rhyme or reason as to whenit works. sometimes it will work as soon as I get in the car other time will not. Sometime it will start and then 20 minutes later quit only to restart 10 minutes later. Strange.


I am on the Gulf Coast, almost through the summer heat but not quite, need three more weeks out of the AC.


Any help would be appreciated.
