Shocks for Front and Rear... what are the options? 444-544 1964

Hi everyone

I've been slowly restoring the underside of my '64 pv544 and I've hit a bit of a snag when trying to find shocks for all 4 corners!

I see CVI and VP have some bilstein and koni shocks listed for the 544, but when checking with koni and bilstein directly, they say they don't carry a shock for a 544. I actually called local bilstein and koni dealers and was told they couldn't get anything.

I'm left to wonder what exactly vp and cvi are selling. My main concern about putting just "any" shock that fits on the car is the valving of the shock. I imagine it must be stiffer than most cars of it's era considering the small length of the shock. Even if it physically fits, it might not ride all that well.

Does anyone know exactly what those guys are selling? Does anyone have any parts numbers for the bilstein and konis that are being sold for these cars? With that info I can look up specs to help me figure out what the best choice would be.

The car is going to be (mostly) otherwise stock, but I'd really like to find something nicer than monroe or kybs. IPD sways are going on once I figure out what shocks to put in the thing!!

Thanks, SW
