safe engine jacking point 200

I'm in the middle of replacing the motor mounts. The trans mount was easy. I'm trying to do the job by jacking the engine off the mounts, right side first. I have the 15mm nuts off the top and bottom of the mount, but am having trouble finding a good place to jack the engine up. The middle of the pan has a lump on it where the oil drain plug goes, but I'm not sure this area of the pan is strong enough. My safety backup to stop the engine falling is a piece of timber across the strut towers with a ratcheting strap tied around the exhaust manifold, but the ratchet probably isn't sturdy enough to simply ratchet up the engine this way. I'm considering removing the whole mount unit from the engine, but I don't know how hard it will be to line it back up to put it back on. Advice would be much appreciated!

David
