cranks but won't start? not getting fuel? 200 1986

I have a 1986 244 GL that i just bought and was running fine until i decided to mess around with the instrument cluster. I was pulling it out to see if i could easily fix the odometer and everything went smooth with removal and reinstallation but when I went to start the car to be sure all the gauges were working correctly it would not start.? I should mention that iI failed to disconnect the battery when i removed the instrument cluster. Could this have caused a Problem someone already knows about? it seems like i'm not getting any fuel. it cranks fine. i thought perhaps i damaged the pump relay so i got a new one and i did the pump check and its working fine, also no fuses are blown? I know this a long shot. ?
