key stuck in ignition cylinder 900

Shift interlock on this car works fine - ie. it won't come out of Park unless the ignition is on and the brake pedal is depressed.

But when I try to shut the car off and remove the key from the ignition cylinder, the key won't turn completely to position 0, and hence, I can't remove the key.

I believe this may be due to the mechanical cable that goes from the ignition cylinder to the shift assembly.

Is there a procedure for adjusting that cable, to correct this problem?
