Volvo 244 trailing arm bushing position 200 1988

This afternoon I started correcting a few issues on a very nice 130,000 mile 88 that I bought a couple of months ago by replacing a very bad trailing arm bushing. Not much of a problem, there's no rust under there, and I used the sawsall removal method that I read about here.

Before I began the installation, I read the Bentley manual because I remember seeing something about how to position it. It says " The recesses in the bushing should be lined up horizontally at 3 o'clock and at 9 o'clock, and offset slightly toward the top. The large rubber part of the bushing goes at the bottom."

My question is about the offset. What is the manual trying to say ?
Should the 3 o'clock position be rotated toward the top, or the 9 oclock position. It can't be both. And how much is slightly ? The new Lemforder bushing has an arrow with the word Down beside it. Should I take that as being bottom dead center ?

Perhaps I'm being too concerned, but now's the time before it's in to be sure.
