240 Strut Insert Recommendations 200

I'm trying to eliminate an elusive clunking that has shown up in the front end of a 1990 240 Sedan. The car has 173Kmi. on it, but the tie rod ends, ball joints and control arm bushing are very recent. Although they seem serviceable, I've decided to replace the strut mounts and strut inserts. After all, they can't last forever and the strut mounts are starting to show cracks in the bonded rubber.

I already have learned the hard way to use only OE Volvo strut mounts, but it's been so long since I bought strut inserts, I'm not sure which to use or if OE Volvo inserts give more bang for the buck.

Can anyone recommend a good gas-charged insert with an eye on longevity/cost more than ultimate handling?
