Popping and groaning 900

The front end of the 960 gave out ominous groaning and popping sounds during low speed turns.
The lower control arms needed replaced and were but still the sounds. New sway bar links did not cure it. Moog units are seriously heavy duty with grease zerks!

The noise stopped when I replaced the ball joints. The old ones did not show slack and were Moog units about 5 years old. The ball joint studs were slightly loose when removed from the car. 960s must be hard on ball joints.
