Fuel pump 444-544 1960

If you are using the starter to work the pump and the car is still 6 volts with an old starter, it may never pick up fuel.

If you are starting a completely dry fuel system, you should prime the carbs by putting some fuel in the fuel bowl(s). If you have dual SU carbs, it is very easy to prime the carbs.

Some people use carb spray or starter fluid to get the engine running, but this is not good for the engine in comparison to just using some gas.
