Any Idea what happened here? 444-544

I am wondering if the PV sat for a spell before you acquired it from Dad, and if you might have loosened up the old original "felt" Frt./RR oil seals that harden up and shrink w/age. My 59 B18 first start ever after sitting for 12 yrs. inside, and a fresh oil/filter change fired up...and then over night drained all the new oil thru F/rear crank seals. If that's your leak spot, Eric can Prob. source up the 164 seal in a modified timing cover and rear housing for the fix: or new felt seals will work. There was a gentleman in Wisconsin who machined my cover a few yrs. back (George) but he may not be with us anymore.

I do like the idea of ALL Volvo electronic ignition. It's that simple?

Regards from Florida where Good Swedish Iron rusts slowly--Kayo
