Select just one of the SU tune up articles. One that is simple and makes sense, as you see it. If one of the articles you've saved from BB is by Phil Singher that could be a the top of the pile. Bear in mind that if your throttle spindles are worn you'll be chasing your tail forever until they get re bushed at least. You can use your synchro meter. loosen the clamp between the carbs so they can be balanced individually to give equal readings. Reclamp and check again. You can then see how you get on with the mixture settings. This is where it's vital that leaks around the spindles are at worse, minimal.
