Steering Rack Vendor

As you said, You will not know until you install.

The reason for all the Jorgen love is simple. The $50 you were worried about is nothing for most of us verses even a MINOR problem installing the rack or having to re-install it.

Any time there is a significant risk or significant time investment, the regulars here tend to latch onto reliable parts in spite of the price. Another good example would be TAB's of the crank position sensor if you own a 240 (starters are still one we are trying to find a good supplier for).

In the end, how much is YOUR time worth on job that likely will be done once per 150-300K miles.
