91 240 CEL Light On After HG Change

Faulty replacement TPS?

To verify wiring, a multimeter continuity check, the same you'd use to verify a faulty TPS. You could see if the conductor failed after rears of vibration at the wire harness just behind the TPS connector. Or, run a continuity check from the TPS connector jack to the pins on the fuel (LH-Jet) and Ignition (EZK) wire harness connectors.

Disconnect the battery and wait ten minutes before you disconnect the wire harness connectors on the two ECUs. Haynes is not all to helpful. Just beware the Haynes 240 manual info on the front wheel hub (wrong hub assembly chronicled, wrong power steering fluid type in specs) can be ambiguous at times and provide incorrect info. Yet probably the #2 manual well behind the Volvo OEM (find free PDFs online) and the Bentley Volvo 240 service manual bible.
