Blower not working 200 1991

My wife was driving her 240 the other day,it has been bitter cold here in the past week. She caught an odor of burning rubber,(her description) and the heater blower stopped working. I have had a guy come up to me this past fall admiring the car saying he had owned a couple of 240's and left with these ominous words," I hope you never have to replace the blower motor on it !" IPD's website has a "10 issues with 240's " basically saying that it's like the car was built around the blower motor. Gotta say I'm a bit nervous,is it that bad of a job ? The car has A/C on it.
