Once someone has been in there mucking around, and changing things to God-knows-what, unless they were nice enough to leave a wiring diagram behind, it is tough for us to know how to fix your issue...best thing is to figure out what has been added/changed, then understand it...I'll try to help...then you can proceed from there.

Green wire runs from Terminal 50 to Solenoid (M40), but by way of "Starter Relay" on Wiring Diagram shown here: http://www.sw-em.com/122S%20Wiring%20Diagram.jpg ...which is for an BW35 option.
