Check the ignition components 200 1982

Pulled out cold start injector and cranked engine.....no fuel present. When I get engine started it runs fine and I hear main fuel pump working and tank pump is brand new.
Yes it is K jet. 225000 miles on car.
Tried to check ignition and I'm ashamed to admit the screws holding the Distributor cap on are like welded on.....lots of Blaster and still won't come loose....did find a small rub/chafe on the coil to dist wire.
Will try the Haynes manual voltmeter check of the coldstart injector but I'm not sure what they are telling me to do: remove the plug from the injector and jump across the harness wires????
or Pull off the plug on the sending unit (thermo-time switch)
and ???? Hard to reach this sender....any tips?
Confused.

If the car runs well should not the injector relay be OK? Also the fuel pumps?

Richard
