Ignition Switch 93 240 Stick Shift

I have a volt meter that is telling me I have something intermittent in the ignition switch. Most of the time the volt meter does not read voltage unless I fiddle with the position of the key then it reads fine although the seat belt warning light goes on and then shuts off.\

I am wondering if I need to replace the switch now before I have some failure that keeps the engine from running or starting?

Thanks
Dan
