What do you use to replace 52mm gauge rubber feet? 200

Hi all,

I just picked up another 240 project (a black over tan slick top '92 wagon--such a nice color combo!). I seem to have used up my stash of those little rubber feet that hold the 52mm accessory gauges in nice and tight. Has anyone come up with an ideal replacement? Cardborad wrapped in electrical tape? A trimmed down packing peanut? A little bit of a kitchen sponge?

I searched around but couldn't find anything about it, either here or on the google. The going rate for a set of three on ebay is $10--I'd rather rig something up for free. Thoughts? Success stories?

Thanks!
