popping noise in fron end 900 1997

I replaced the struts, strut mounts, bellows, snubber, and ball joints on the 97 960 after my wife ran it over a 10" curb and toasted the front end. Now I have developed a popping sound that sounds like something is hanging briefly and popping as it lets go when the op postie side fender in pushed up and down. The car drives fine and is quiet on a level street.

The 93 940 I had did the same thing before and after a suspension change, and I never did find the culprit. Anybody have similar issues?

Regards,
