leak in coolant tube from water pump to heater?? 700

I have a 93 b230ft motor in my 7 series. coming home from work i blew my coolant out of the coolant tube that runs from the water pump to the heater hose. I am currently diagnosing the issue. from inspection I have found the previose owner has blocked off the passage that exits midway on the coolant tube. I am wondering where this is to connect.
This might be where my issue is, as the exit is blocked off with hose clamps heater tube and metal doweling to block it off.
Regardless I am about to remove my coolant tube and would like to know where this fitting goes so I can make this connection while working in this area.
Cheers
Dave
