wheel studs for steel or alloy wheels? 900

I have a 1991 945 with steel wheels and plastic trims (UK spec.) These are 15". I have a set of 15" alloy wheels from a 1989 760 and plan to fit them as the steel wheels are getting quite corroded.
However, I have read the following in the FAQ section here:

There is no difference in the torque requirements for steel or alloy wheels in Volvos. The difference is the studs.

Do I need to source new studs for the wheels if I am swapping from steels to alloys (and perhaps different wheel nuts as well)?

Thanks for any advice,

OwenF
