need picture 240 fuel sender

for the first time in 20 years or so, i pulled a sender out on an 86 245. client says, had no fuel gauge, installed and apa/uro a while back and then it died again. turns out the float developed a crack and filled up with fuel. when i pulled it, the sock was off and floating in the tank. ordered another apa/uro pos sender-god, i miss vdo-and will install in tuesday.

the problem is, i can't find any reference to how things are oriented. i know it has to go in 1 way, with the sock set just so. and i don't remember. any help? thanks, chuck.
