Grrr, wagon cranks but doesn't fire up 200 1989

Hey all,

I don't drive my wagon much these days mainly because I have a hybrid that I use as my daily driver and bikes to get around as well. My wagon is parked at my parents and it often sits there for up to 3-4 months. In the past I would at least drive it once every month or so but now being so busy I just don't have the time to switch cars. (I still have a use for my wagon, and essentially it doesn't really cost me anything town other than insurance.) So today I was going to drive the wagon so things don't start drying up. I had charged the battery up yesterday and today the car cranks but doesn't fire. I did some searches and there are so many possibilities. Fuel pump, fuel pump relay, crank position sensor, fuse, battery. I really hope it could be the battery needing more juice (even though I charged it fully yesterday), or even a flooded engine because I gassed it when I cranked it hoping it would fire up that way.

So the crank sounds pretty strong and not like a dying battery. It just won't catch and start the engine. I tried gassing it but nothing. Is it something more serious? Considering that the car often sits for months on end and the battery doesn't really get good charge cycle, could the battery just have weakened from all that sitting around? It's an Interstate battery that I got a few years ago. Maybe 5 years?

I just really want to drive it. She's never failed me. I've had some hard starts before but she would always fire up. This is unusual and I hope nothing serious.
