240 Wagon 89' Poor Idling after START- weak or stalled accel. when I press gas 1989

Greetings!

My "blue eagle", 1989 Volvo 240 WAGON has had some issues lately.. fuel pump was replaced recently.. having issues with idling right after I start the car.. so weak and low, and the car will shut off if I don't give it a ton of GAS (while in park still).. Also very often lately, it's been weak and stuttering when I am pressing the gas. WHILE DRIVING... more often when I am stopped/slowed and pulling out of somewhere but sometimes while I am on the road.. going 30mph and needing to accelerate.. I'm scared one day it will stall out when I need to move from oncoming traffic..

Any advice will be appreciated..

Also had a cold no-start condition recently.. right after the fuel pump was replaced (no start due to bad fuel pump (main pump))..
