Not having worked with Lucas hub oil, I can't say for sure. But, my guess is that it'd be fine. Assuming the viscosity seems about like gear oil. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in my car.

As for windshield washer bottle, attached is our '66 wagon. Passenger side, up front. But, for cars not fitted with a brake booster, it might have been over there.
