Brake lock up! 444-544 1961

Good chance the new shoes arc will match the new drums, but I would take them to a an "old school" brake shop just to be sure. When I first took possession of my 63, I took it to my favorite Volvo repair guy for a good "once over." Once he removed the rear drums, he noticed the brake shoes had too much wear on the leading edges and not enough in the middle of the shoe. He re-arc'd the shoes and re-checked them after I put about 1000 miles on them. It's never pulled to either side since and stops on a dime. A lot of people seem to praise the disc brake conversion, but I have to say the drums do a great job.
