900 blower motor replacement tips 900 1993

Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I've posted here: my '93 940t with 330k has been performing amazingly for the past 75,000 miles. Crossing fingers...

But the blower motor has just quit. Went from just a couple of speeds down to high only, and now nothing. Im wondering if this might be the resistor, but the FAQ only mentions the location for pre-91 models. Has anyone had recent experience tearing into the blower motor on a '93? I'm also a bit confused about the 2 and 3 wire configurations mentioned.

Many thanks!
